Counterforce (TV series)

Counterforce (カウンターフォース Kauntāfōsu ) is a North Chevronian fantasy TV series which is previously aired on GP-NET last September 2006. It is created by Casey Gonzales (a.k.a. Rykkhofhra Darkkauciux) through her own comics-carrier, C.G. COMICS and it was licensed through Counterforce Project, Inc. This was the most phenomenal fantasy series ever aired on GP-NET, next on Encounters: The Truth Behind Evidence.


Gonzales stars in the said series as Parkauna Rowantha O. de Rantella, which is the main character of the series. It was previously aired in South Chevron via 24TV and currently aired again in North Chevron through Animation Network.


The series introduced the world of Counterforce (a world of the warriors, magical beings and royal blood people), helping to carry the plot.


Synopsis
The series tells the story of Parkauna Rowantha O. de Rantella (Casey Gonzales a.k.a. Rykkhofhra Darkkauciux), the eldest among the four sisters who became as the Counterforcian Warriors. Parkauna's life was very happy since her childhood it's because of her younger sisters Racquel (Lee Choi Bo), Alicia (Rebecca Wilson), and Dannielle (Shin Song Dae) and their Queen Mother (Kim Eun Jang). But Parkauna's life was changed when she met Penelope O. de Rantella (P. Mariano), a warrior from the Kingdom of Lierwan. During the war between the Kingdom of Acarouie and Kindom of Monsteria, Penelope kissed Parkauna in order to get Parkauna calm down. A Monsterian attacked Parkauna and because of that, Parkauna was brought by Penelope to the Kingdom of Lierwan in order to take a rest.


After Parkauna and Penelope lived together as close friends, Penelope expressed her feelings for Parkauna, kisses Parkauna, and then she said to Parkauna that she is her real mother--putting Parkauna in shock.

In the end, Parkauna accepts Penelope as her mother. But Penelope married Parkauna and they lived now as a loving couple.

Awards and nominations
At the 21st North Chevronian Star Awards for Television, which was held last November 18, 2007, Counterforce receives 5 nominations:

• Best Primetime TV Series
• Best Drama Actress for Casey Gonzales (a.k.a. Rykkhofhra Darkkauciux)
• Best New Female Personalities for Rebecca Wilson and P. Mariano
• Best Horror/Fantasy Program

These nominations above were all won by Counterforce (Best Primetime TV series and Best Horror/Fantasy Program), Casey Gonzales (Best Drama Actress) and Rebecca Wilson and P. Mariano (tied as Best New Female Personalities).

The series was also nominated and won as Best Anime Series in a Live Action in the 6th North Chevronian Anime Otaku Awards.

Featuring Pyrolandia
Last June 4, 2007, GP-NET aired Pyrolandia, the TV fantasy series which is very related and similarly to Counterforce due to the existence of Parkauna Rowantha O. de Rantella as one of the main characters. Casey Gonzales (a.k.a. Rykkhofhra Darkkauciux), also the creator of Pyrolandia, said that Pyrolandia was the continuation of Parkauna's life from Counterforce to Pyrolandia. But in the first 18 episodes of Pyrolandia, Parkauna's face was not revealed until on the episode 19 wherein her face is revealed after her mask was completely destroyed.

Video game
Last September 24, 2008, GP-NET, including Counterforce Project, Inc. and C.G. COMICS, Inc. launched the video game for Counterforce. Entitled "Counterforce: Attack of the Good and Evil" (カウンターフォース：の攻撃善と悪 Kauntāfōsu: No kōgeki zen to aku ), it is also licensed by Satellite Games, Inc., Counterforce Project, Inc. and GP-NET New Media, Inc. and it was the platform for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portal.

Trivia

• Some of the casts are came from Encounters: The Truth Behind Evidence
• Counterforce supposed to be aired on May 2006 but later it was moved to September 2006 due to some valid reasons.
• Casey Gonzales (a.k.a. Rykkhofhra Darkkauciux) and Lee Choi Bo appeared in Encounters: The Truth Behind Evidence as rivals for Patrick Ji's heart. In Counterforce, they appeared as sisters.
• According to some reports, Casey Gonzales took a martial arts lessons for the preparation of the show.
• Due to the high record of ratings of Counterforce, GP-NET released the DVD special for Counterforce for showing the uncut scenes.
• In September 2007, Counterforce DVD series was released for a total of 7 volumes.

Controversies

Counterforce receives some controversies instead of appraises. Indeed, Ewander Hazun, an avid fan of Casey Gonzales, said that Counterforce copied the concept and idea from a TV series from Philippines. The Counterforce staff stated that the show was not copied an idea and concept from an another TV show, thus, it was inspired. Another controversy is a close relationship between Parkauna and Penelope, for whom said it was "lewd", "indecent", and "malicious". Due to these reactions of the conservative individuals, some romantic scenes between Parkauna and Penelope were removed.

The Magical Amazon Mondrek 27 Nathreikka von Karthana (マジカル・アマゾン・モンドレック27 NATHREIKKA VON KARTHANA Majikaru Amazon Mondorekku 27 Nassureikka von Kāsana; Japanese:  魔法アマゾン・モンドレック27 NATHREIKKA VON KARTHANA Mahō Amazon Mondorekku 27 Nassureikka fon Kāsana) is an upcoming TV series on GP-NET on 2011. The series will be the adaptation of Rykkhofhra Darkkauciux's upcoming manga series with the same name which will be also launch on 2011 under the license of C.G. COMICS, Inc. and Project Nathreikka, Inc. The said upcoming series will be created and directed by Rykkhofhra Darkkauciux, who also created and directed several shows like Counterforce and Pyrolandia, respectively.

Although it is a action-fantasy-tokasatsu TV series, it is also centers on the yuri relationship of some female characters, including the main character, Nathreikka von Karthana, with elements of fantasy and action themes helping to carry the plot.


Plot outline
The series tells about the story of a 19-year-old girl named Nathreikka von Karthana, a student council president of Fremos Academy who will be the key to restore the peace in Konvariko. However, Lord Onyxard vi Kronica of Kelzettia, the evil kingdom of Konvariko, wants to kill Nathreikka and letting the world of Konvariko as a war world and no peace in each place. Will Nathreikka kill Onyxard and to restore the peace in Konvariko?

Her element is the Xera 20 Green Water, under the codename, Xera 20. Sandy will be portrayed by Diana Gonzales.



Eldora Roshienthrro (エルドーラ・ローシンスロー Erudōra Rōshinsurō)-another high school student and one of Nathreikka's classmates. Eldora is one of Nathreikka's allies in order to destroy the evil force of Kelzettia. Her element is the Andromeda 25 Red Air, under her codename, Andromeda 25. Eldora will be portrayed by Hellenna von Horyugi.


Rasch van Mirokon (ラッシュ・ヴァン・ミロコン Rasshu van Mirokon )-the outrageous yet friendly amazon. She is one of Nathreikka's classmates and allies in order to destroy the evil forces of Kelzettia. Her element is the Ryuuken 24 Brown Earth, under her codename, Ryuuken 24. Rasch will be portrayed by Samantha von Cusack.



Rochester ei Verdandi (ローチェスター・エイ・ヴァーダンディ Rōchesutā ei Vādandi )-the mysterious amazon and Rasch's love interest. She transforms herself into a male teacher in order to protect her true identity. Her element is the Duran 19 White Thunder, under her codename, Duran 19. Rochester will be portrayed by Hyang Yu-son.
